June 2018
After a mild and humid winter, February was very cold and that’s why we had a late budbreak.
The good news this year, we avoid any frost compare to the last 2 years!
The flowering started in the best place at the end of May and last for about 10 days. It was done under a mild weather and also some rainy period, the result was a small coulure but looking at the amount of grapes we can expect at last a normal volume this year !
Harvest date should be the first 2 weeks of September . At the moment, we did bottle a small amount of Chablis and some Ier Cru Vaillon, the Grand Cru and the rest will be bottle at the end of November.
The 2017 has you probably know was down nearly 70% in our Grand Cru because of the 7 days of frost and our Ier Cru Vaillon 10% , but we are very happy with the quality. More tension compare to the 2016 , very aromatic and a nice balance between alcohol and the acidity .
